By creating an account or using Evalo, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

• These terms apply to teams, evaluators, and administrators alike.
• Continued use after updates means you accept the revised terms.
• If you are using Evalo on behalf of an institution, you confirm you have the authority to do so.

2. Eligibility & Accounts

Each user is responsible for the integrity of their account and the accuracy of the information they provide.

• Provide accurate registration details and keep them up to date.
• Do not share your credentials or let someone else use your account.
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
• One person should hold one account; team leads represent their team.

3. Acceptable Use

Evalo is an academic platform. Use it in good faith and in line with the competition rules.

• Submit only original content that you have the right to share.
• Do not upload or link to malicious, illegal, or harmful material.
• Do not attempt to bypass evaluation, scoring, or access controls.
• Be respectful in all communication with teams, evaluators, and admins.

4. Submissions & Content

You retain ownership of your submissions. By uploading them, you grant us the rights needed to run the competition.

• You confirm you own or have permission to use everything you submit.
• We may display your submission, scores, and team name on leaderboards and result pages.
• We may keep submissions for archival, auditing, and academic purposes.
• Removed submissions may persist in backups for a limited retention window.

5. Evaluations & Results

Evaluations are conducted by qualified evaluators using the published scoring criteria.

• Final scores are determined after all assigned evaluators complete review.
• Decisions on rankings and disputes rest with the competition administrators.
• We strive for fairness, but evaluator judgement is inherently subjective.
• Attempts to influence evaluators outside the platform may lead to disqualification.

6. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or harm the integrity of the competition.

• Cheating, harassment, or abuse may result in immediate disqualification.
• Accounts inactive for long periods may be archived.
• You may request account closure at any time from your profile or by contacting us.

7. Disclaimers & Liability

Evalo is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind.

• We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or error-free operation.
• We are not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from use of the platform.
• External links and third-party services are outside our control.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time as the platform evolves.

• Material changes will be highlighted on the platform or via email.
• The latest version will always be available on this page.
• Continuing to use Evalo after updates means you accept the new terms.
